Christine (Tine) Ward has spent the past 30 years connecting global capital to community based solutions and executing development and relief projects. Tine's particular interest is in eliminating barriers on individual and organizational levels, creating partnerships and maximizing investment with a direct, hands-on approach.
Tine is a British citizen who came to the United States in 1994 to co-found Chances for Children, a New York based not for profit, where she served as President and remained as Board member until 2004.
Founder of The Darfur Project, which linked the financial community to an effective and direct approach to providing essential emergency relief to those caught in the complex humanitarian crisis of Darfur.  In addition she has worked on several local, small investment, high impact projects in Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Chad, Sudan and Haiti. These have included water and sanitation programs, public health facilities, shelter and housing, education and emergency and humanitarian relief.
Rockflower is the culmination of these experiences through the recognition that by unlocking access to capital to improve the lives of women and girls through a Five Key approach, a new economic paradigm is possible.
