Rockflower is the culmination of Christine Ward’s long standing experience of connecting global capital to community based solutions and executing development and relief projects. Founder of The Darfur Project, linking the financial community with an effective and direct approach to providing essential emergency relief to those caught in the complex humanitarian crisis of Darfur. To date they have provided over $17 million of medical relief to the area. Christine's particular interest is in eliminating barriers on individual and organizational levels, creating partnerships and maximizing investment with a direct hands on approach.

Her recent focus has been on several local, small investment, high impact projects in post crisis areas of Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Chad, Sudan and Haiti. These have included water and sanitation programs, public health facilities, shelter and housing, education and emergency and humanitarian relief.

Christine Ward came to the US in 1994 to co-found Chances for Children, a New York based not for profit, she served as President and remained as Board member until 2004.  She now lives in Rhode Island with her four children.
